This resource guide covers how to find what Element you are under the advanced Elemental system of the New Esoterica, which many find is more satisfying and fulfilling than the other systems.

Everything in life is made of energy, and this energy takes on different flavors we call Elements. Each element is associated with certain characteristics, creating a rich tapestry of meaning and symbolism behind each one.

These elements and their corresponding characteristics are:

  1. Fire - Charisma 
  2. Earth - Fortitude
  3. Air - Wisdom
  4. Water - Faith
  5. Love - Empathy
  6. Nature - Vitality
  7. Lightning - Reasoning
  8. Ice - Resistance
  9. Light - Intuition
  10. Dark - Secrecy

  12. Metal - Potency
  13. Velocity - Adaptability
  14. Force - Esteem
  15. Space - Awareness
  16. Time - Flow
  17. Dimension - Willpower 
  18. Matter - Control

Furthermore, each of these characterizes, or traits, corresponds both to the physical world, and the digital or metaphysical.

Here at Heart Circle, we create some of our products with focused Intent. This means, the designs themselves act like Sigils, which leads to the products themselves having a high chance of being imbued with the properties of the elemental energy they are associated with. 

While we make no guarantees as to the effectiveness of this practice or what benefits one might derive from these items, this is a tried and true practice that has been used for thousands of years, to turn the ordinary into something special. All manner of family heirlooms, religious relics, and historically significant items are thought to be influenced by the very same system. 

In an effort to define and therefore better utilize this body of New Esoterica, we have mapped out this system that takes into account all 18 Master Elements, rather than just 4, 5, or 6, depending on what body of esoteric wisdom you subscribe to. 

Element Classification

There are 12 Primary Elements, 2 Control Elements, and 4 Divine Elements, that comprise the 18. 

The 12 Primary Elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water, Love, Nature, Lightning, Ice, Light, Dark, Color, and Metal) correspond to the 12 signs of our Zodiac and govern things like character traits (personalities), careers, love interest compatibility, and basic emotional temperament. 

The 2 Control Elements (Velocity and Force) correspond to Yin and Yang, and govern the effective output of the 12, as well as fundamental aspects of life like change and cycles. Unlike the other elements, which represent a very distinct force of nature, the terms "velocity" and "force" are only rough approximations of the spirit of these Elements, which could also be defined as Inertia and Magnetism, or Polarity and Gravity. They were so ineffable, that in ancient times could only be referred to as Yin and Yang in Eastern esotericism or Masculine and Feminine in Western esotericism. 

The 4 Divine Elements (Space, Time, Dimension, and Matter) correspond to the formative forces of reality. They provide the framework for which the other 14 Elements work inside of and through. Physically, they are easy to conceptualize (Space = the actual space around us), however they also refer to a more mystical side of reality. As such, they govern our ability to use freewill and respond to the world around us. 

Element Stats

It is known that each Element has a signature associated with it. Working closely with one of the Elements, therefore, may result in an increase or strengthening in the corresponding signature. 

Charisma: The ability to inspire, influence, and attract others through charm and confidence.

Fortitude: The strength and endurance to withstand adversity, both physical and mental.

Wisdom: The capacity to make sound judgments and decisions. The ability to make use of acquired knowledge.

Faith: The trust and belief in a higher power, purpose, or principle, providing guidance and the ability to allow things to unfold without unnecessary interference. 

Empathy: The ability to understand and share the feelings of others, fostering connection and compassion. The bond established between others and one's environment that leads to synchronicities.

Vitality: The state of being energetic, vivacious, and full of life. Health and vigor.

Reasoning: The ability to learn and understand. The capacity for appreciating and comprehending the words, actions, and wisdom of others in order to make use of it.

Resistance: The ability to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions. Not letting things affect you.

Intuition: The ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning. 

Secrecy: The skill of keeping information hidden or maintaining confidentiality. Tact and the ability to live carefully and with consideration. 

Creativity: The ability to generate original ideas, solutions, and artistic expressions.

Potency: The effectiveness of one's actions and abilities. How well one is able to produce a result.

Adaptability: The ability to adjust to new conditions and changes with ease and flexibility.

Esteem: The sense of self-worth and respect one has for themselves and the regard they command from others.

Awareness: The state of being conscious of one's surroundings, situations, and potential dangers. Spatial understanding that leads to a higher degree of personal power and increased decision-making ability.

Flow: The state of being fully immersed and involved in an activity, often resulting in optimal performance. Being in tune with the movements of the world and the way of things, the ability to ride energy currents. 

Willpower: The ability to see something through or restrain impulses, demonstrating determination and self-discipline. Being able to manifest one's desires, bringing about change in one's life. 

Control: The ability to manage, direct, and regulate one's actions, emotions, and the environment itself. How well one orchestrates their actions and the results of those actions. 

Metaphysical Element Stats

It is also known that each Element has a more esoteric signature associated with it, that more or less corresponds to what we would think of as an "RPG stat." If this is a simulation and you are a player within a game world, these would be the stats associated with how powerful you are.

Physical Attack: Increases physical damage output.

Physical Defense: Increases resistance to physical damage.

Energy Attack: Increases energy (ki) damage output.

Energy Defense: Increases resistance to energy (ki) damage.

Luck: Affects critical hit chance, success in random events, and governs a number of other life aspects.

Health: Health Points (HP), the total amount of damage one can withstand before being incapacitated.

Intelligence: Increases effectiveness and power output of spells and magical abilities. Also referred to as Mental Attack or Axial Strength. 

Spirit: Mana Points (MP), the pool of one's psychospiritual power used to cast spells with one's Axis. 

Versatility: Ability to distribute and redistribute one's experience into other stats. Increases the scaling potential or power ceiling of Spirit based attacks. 

Maneuverability: Ability to create opportunities in battle (surprise attacks, counter attacks) and excel in a given specialty or job. 

Dexterity: One's ability to master weapons and tools, as well as keeping tools, weapons, and relics from wearing out after successive uses. 

Skill: Increases hit rate, affecting the accuracy of physical and magical attacks, as well as critical hit chance, and the success rate of certain spells and abilities.

Agility: Increase dodge rate, affecting the accuracy of an opponent's physical and magical attacks. 

Power: Increases the scaling potential or power ceiling of physical and energy based attacks and skills. 

Capacity: How well one is able to carry items, or how much space there is within one's aura.

Reflex: Determines the frequency of actions taken in combat, affecting turn order. 

Persuasion: One's ability to guide the decisions of others through speech and body language. 

Craft: One's ability to make use of items and tools in order to create more powerful and useful recipes, alchemical potions, salves, weapons, ammunition, and other consumables.

One's Energy Attack, Energy Defense, and Health, when combined, can be referred to as Lifeforce. One's Intelligence and Spirit, when combined, can be referred to as Axis. 

 "What Element Am I?"

Each of the 12 Primary Elements corresponds to one of the 12 signs of the Zodiac as shown here:

  1. Fire = Aries
  2. Earth = Taurus
  3. Air = Aquarius
  4. Water = Cancer
  5. Love = Leo
  6. Nature = Virgo
  7. Lightning = Libra
  8. Ice = Pisces
  9. Light = Sagittarius 
  10. Dark = Scorpio
  11. Color = Gemini
  12. Metal = Capricorn 

If you closely associate with your Zodiac sign, there is a high likelihood that you will resonate deeply with its associated Element once you begin exploring and working with it. This is the easiest way to find out what Element you are. 

However, our Elemental makeup can be somewhat complex. Some of us, for instance, tend to resonate more with our Moon signs, because we are locked into our Emotional Body more than our Physical. Therefore you might want to see what your Moon sign's association is and see how that feels. 

It is also fairly common for us to be made up of multiple elements. In fact, metaphysically speaking, none of us are 100% a certain Element. Essences of several Elements makeup our aura, however typically one will Dominate and this is how you will express yourself. Your most effective skills and abilities will be guided by this Element far more than the others. 

There is also the matter of Attributes. 

The 18 Elements make up very distinct energy classifications. However, when each of the 18 blends in a perfect ratio with one of the others, we get an Attribute, or what some refer to as a Modal, or sub-Element. There are 153 Attribute Modals.

While it is fairly rare (in this dimension at least) for someone's Dominant energy to be an Attribute, it is not all that uncommon for someone to have a Primary Element and an Attribute which is the blend of their 2 most common Elements after their main one. 

For the purposes of finding out your Element as easily as possible and with the highest probability of accuracy, you can rely on the Element to Zodiac table above. 

Why does this work? You can think of the arrangements of stars as grids of energy that have certain signatures, and which influence our solar system on a microcosmic level. Over time, we recognized that those born under certain times of the year, when these star grids were dominant depending on the position of the Earth, that different personality traits would manifest more than others. 

The same can be said for Elemental affinities. One could even say that it is the Element that determines the nature of what we think of as an astrological sign's traits or correspondences, since it's the energy signature that produces the "flavor" of these energy grids in the first place. 

Regardless of how you interpret it, we know that our planet is governed or affected by these 12 houses, or sectors of space (star grids).

What's the point of living if you don't indulge in a little magic?

To make it simple to understand, we have created 5 tiers of Elemental products from which to choose. Their power is determined by the size of the product, the durability of the product, the complexity of its Sigil, and how much it costs to produce (money is, after all, another form of energy). 

Interesting - No intentional boost, but posses an Affinity, meaning there is a trace benefit.
Obscure - +1 Boost, or a low amount of Elemental energy.
Uncanny - +2 Boost, or a moderate amount of Elemental energy. 
Special - +3 Boost, or a large amount of Elemental energy. 
Heartfelt - +5 Boost, or a powerful amount of Elemental energy.
